Hi, I'm Nai!
I’m a traditional illustrator specialising in pet portraits and realistic coloured pencil techniques.
Drawing has always been part of who I am. My grandmother, who was also an artist, taught me to draw from a very young age, and over the years, illustration became our strongest connection. It’s a craft that carries a great deal of personal meaning for me — which is why I love creating something that feels just as special and meaningful to you.
I started making pet portraits for friends and family, mainly as gifts, and created an Instagram account to share my work and track my progress. Shortly after, I started taking commissions alongside my career in fashion buying. I’ve recently left my corporate job to gradually grow my illustration practice into a full-time career, which has been an incredibly exciting new chapter for me.
Today, I work between my London studio and my family home in Spain, creating portraits by commission alongside illustration projects for clients, publishers and other creative projects.
My work is observational, detailed and timeless
Every illustration is created by hand using traditional techniques, because I believe some things are worth taking time over.
I specialise in highly detailed, lifelike coloured pencil portraits of pets and wildlife, with a particular focus on capturing the little details that make each animal unique.
For me, drawing a portrait is about more than simply copying how a pet looks. It’s about creating something you’ll want to keep, look at and remember for years to come.

I work with professional artist-grade coloured pencils, carefully selected for their rich pigmentation, blendability and lightfastness, allowing me to build up fine layers of colour and capture the subtle details that bring each portrait to life.
Over the years, I have carefully selected the best quality papers and tools, chosen specifically for the level of detail and realism I want to achieve.
